     Black Magnum is an all purpose safe replacement for silica sand. It effectively removes the risk of developing SILICOSIS at a price which cannot be argued with. We use this specific material as a staple in our own stripping process and do not use silica sand for anything. Because it comes in many sizes and can be reused several times, this abrasive performs very well when compared to aluminum oxide, noviculite, garnet, crushed glass, steel grit and other white metal producing abrasives. And best of all it's considerably cheaper. The only thing we don't recommend this product for is blasting and lettering granite monuments. Short of that specialized application, there isn't anything we can think of that can't be done with black magnum that is currently being done with any of the blasting medias listed above, especially silica sand.
